Born into a family with a history of public service, Badurdeen inherited a deep sense of responsibility and leadership from his father, who served as Chairman of the Urban Council of Nawalapitiya. This early exposure to governance and development inspired him to pursue a career that would make a meaningful impact. His educational journey took him from Zahira College, Colombo, to Yokohama Kenshu Centre in Japan, where he honed his skills in corporate management.
