Badurdeen’s professional journey began in sales and marketing, where he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent. At Sifani Jewellers, he set record-breaking sales figures before moving on to a Hong Kong-based investment firm, Continental King Lung, where he was eventually promoted to Head of Sales. However, it was his entrepreneurial instincts that set him apart. Seeing immense potential in textile trading and apparel manufacturing, he co-founded a buying office in 1993 catering to the U.S. apparel market in partnership with Korean investors. Over the next decade, he expanded operations, acquiring and leading factories that employed over 1,400 workers, making significant contributions to Sri Lanka’s booming garment industry. By 2004, having made a lasting impact in textiles, he transitioned into other industries, demonstrating his ability to adapt and excel.
